We have one sauna, so each date can only go to one booking. The calendar also allows time for delivery and collection between rentals, which is why the day next to an existing booking may show as unavailable.

All dates and times on this site are Vancouver local time.

Rentals start at 24 hours. You can also book 2 days, 3 days, 1 week or 4 weeks.

Every rental can start any day of the week, on the hour from 7 am to 6 pm, and runs from that time. We deliver the sauna before it starts and pick it up after it ends.

Kyst serves Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Delivery and pick-up are free within 15 km of our base in Vancouver, then $3 per km (one way). It covers delivery and pick-up.

When you book, enter your address and you’ll see the delivery fee straight away. More than 100 km away, or somewhere only reachable by ferry? Contact us and we’ll put together a quote.

Space: 22.5 ft long × 8.5 ft wide (6.9 × 2.6 m) with the ramp down.

Access: at least 9 ft (2.7 m) wide.

Our truck and trailer must be able to drive in and back out of the property for drop-off and pick-up.

Ground: grass, gravel and soil are all fine. No steep slopes.

You don’t need power or water: the lights run on a rechargeable battery, and we bring sauna and shower water. A 100 ft extension cord is available on request.

Bookings go ahead rain or shine. If conditions make delivery or using the sauna unsafe, we’ll be in touch with you about your options.

Yes. Someone needs to be at the location when we deliver the sauna.

Yes. Kyst is a single mobile sauna that you book for private use. It’s yours (and your guests’) for the length of your rental.

Kyst is a propane sauna. There’s no firewood to haul or fire to tend, no smoke or ash, and it doesn’t need an electrical hookup at your location, which is what lets it go almost anywhere.

It takes about 60 minutes to fully heat up.

One 60 lb tank gives up to 20 hours of heat running constantly, or about 10 to 12 sessions of 1.5 hours. The sauna takes about 60 minutes to fully heat up, and the heater only needs to run while you’re using it.

Every rental includes propane: 1 tank with 24 Hours, and more with longer rentals. Each option shows exactly how many tanks are included.

You can see how much propane is left at any time. When it’s running low, let us know and we’ll come and swap the tank for a full one. You never have to handle the tanks yourself.

Swaps are included up to the number of tanks that come with your rental. After that, each extra tank is $75.

Up to 7 people at a time. The benches are on two levels: sit up high for more heat, or lower down for something gentler.

Every rental comes with delivery and pick-up, a 60 lb propane tank (more with longer rentals), and: sauna bucket and ladle, thermostat, 5 gal (19 L) of sauna water, 10 gal (38 L) of shower water, portable change room, 6 sq ft of shelving, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

On request (just ask when you book): towels, electrolytes, camp chairs, 100 ft (30 m) extension cord, a sauna host for events.

A towel to sit on and one to dry off, swimwear (cotton is best) or nothing at all, a change of clothes, slippers or sandals, and a cold water bottle. Drink some water before you start, too.

Take off jewellery before you go in: necklaces, rings and watches get very hot and can burn.

A few simple ones, so everyone has a good time and the sauna stays happy:

Up to 7 people in the sauna at a time.

No alcohol, glass or food. Water only inside.

Don’t use the sauna while intoxicated.

Clean feet, and rinse before you go in. No shoes inside.

Only clean, fresh water on the stones (a few drops of essential oil are fine).

No pets, inside or on the deck.

Keep the door clear.

The ramp and deck hold up to 600 lb (270 kg).

We deliver the sauna with the pilot light already lit. To heat it up, close the side vent above the side door, close the sauna door, then turn up the Temperature dial and turn on the Time dial.

It takes about 60 minutes to fully heat up. Once it feels right, turn the Temperature dial down until it clicks, and the heater holds that heat. The timer runs for up to an hour, so give it another twist when it gets low.

Smell gas? Get everyone out of the sauna, turn the propane off at the tank (clockwise) and give us a call.

Cancel 7 or more days before your rental starts: full refund.

Cancel between 7 days and 48 hours before: 50% refund.

Cancel less than 48 hours before: no refund.

If we haven’t confirmed your booking yet, you can cancel without any charge: the hold on your card is simply released.

Yes, there’s a refundable $500 damage deposit, separate from your rental price. It’s a hold on the same card, not a charge. We place it the day before your rental starts (for rentals of 3 days or more, 3 days before your rental ends) and release it automatically within 24 hours after your rental ends.

If there’s damage, or you used extra propane tanks, we take what’s owed from the hold and release the rest.

By credit or debit card, on Stripe’s secure checkout. Your card details never touch our servers.

When you book, the full amount is held on your card. Your card will be charged once Kyst confirms your booking within 24 hours. If we can’t confirm it, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
